Annual Report -2023-24
"The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows." At Gurukul Montessori School, Prayagraj, we strive for excellence with sincerity of purpose, independence of thought, and action among our children, and developing sensitivity to others' well-being and feelings.
Our school is an example of what leadership with vision, commitment, and discipline can achieve. Looking back at our journey in serving the cause of education since 2010, we are both happy and proud at the thought of the memorable milestones we have reached.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Academic achievements reflect the diligence and skills to perform to the best of one's ability. The sincere efforts of students, teachers, and school brought laurels in the CBSE exam.
We are proud to report that the 2023-24 batch of X and XII Standard students have given one of the best results among the top schools of Prayagraj. We congratulate Ayush Chandra and Garima Mishra, who have secured 98% and above in the X Board Exam. Gurukul Montessori is the only school in Prayagraj district to have three students score above 97% marks in the class X board exam.
From class XII, we congratulate Anjali Maurya from stream Humanities and Sarthak Shukla from Stream Commerce for securing approximately 95% marks. We also extend our heartiest congratulations to Khushi Yadav,Divyanshu,Pragya Dwivedi, Kajal Shukla and many more for their meticulous performance.
This achievement was possible due to the continuous efforts of our dedicated teachers under the supreme guidance of our Honourable Chairman. The credit for the excellent performance is attributed to new initiatives such as achievers and remedial classes, which were conducted regularly apart from the regular class study schedule.
Infrastructure
- GMS has added three stories to the Sr. Wing building to expand and meet growing demand.
- A four-storied building adjoining the Jr. Wing was constructed along staff quarters.
- A fully air-conditioned front office and cafeteria have been added as amenities to serve all
stakeholders.
- A new, fully air-conditioned Computer Lab and world-class Library were added to the Sr. Wing
campus to cope with growing demand.
- We are proud to declare that this new library is one of its kind in the entire Prayagraj District
which is open for public after school hours.
FUNCTIONS / EVENTS
“If the mind is intensely eager, everything can be accomplished – mountains can be crumbled into atoms,” said Swami Vivekananda. Our school calendar is filled with numerous breathtaking events, such as:

NCC and Scout and Guide (since 2016)
GMS achieved a milestone in NCC as one of our NCC cadets, Satvika Maurya, was selected for the Republic Day camp. She was the only student selected from Prayagraj District out of 40 students from Uttar Pradesh and was awarded by Anandi Ben Patel, Governor of Rajbhavan, Lucknow.
Sports in GMS
We have various indoor and outdoor games, such as:
- Table Tennis
- Badminton
- Volleyball
- Kabaddi
- Kho Kho
Throughout the year, students participate in various activities inside the school and attend clusters across many states, bringing laurels to the school.
Shooting Range
Raunak Patel, Yugant Singh Kushwaha, and Sanskaar were selected for the national trails of the Indian shooting team, held in Kerala, a testament to the hard work of the students and their coaches.
INTER SCHOOL COMPETITIONS
Our children participated in various activities pertaining to art, culture, literature, science, technology, social sciences, and environment. Many won prizes and brought laurels to the school.
House Competitions
The students of Gurukul Montessori School are equally divided into six different houses:
- Kalam House
- Pratap House
- Teresa House
Students engage in healthy competition through various house activities, such as:
- Speech
- Reading
- Collage
- Card
- Archway
- Diya
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
Workshops and seminars encourage new ideas, facilitate innovation, experimentation, knowledge, skills, and personality development. Several enrichment programs for students and teachers were organized, including capacity-building programs and NEP.
